Crossroads Staff

Daniel Nelson, LPCC

I am the owner/director of Crossroads. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and I work with individuals and marriages. My individual work focuses on depression, anxiety, and life adjustment issues (grief, family struggles, results of divorce, abuse survivors, etc.). I also work with sexual addiction. My deep desire is to help people be aware of Christ's presence in the midst of their circumstances. I always hope to help each person to see how Christ wants us to know the Father's heart toward them and to learn to rely on the Holy Spirit's filling, guidance, and counsel.

Michelle Beeman, LPCC

Hello! I am a Crossroads traveling therapist. I am at our Willmar location on Tuesdays and in Alexandria the rest of the week. I have a background serving a variety of people. My experience has been mainly working with teenagers and college students. I have a passion for those who are looking for personal spiritual growth, dealing with grief and loss, and serving those in the helping professions. I believe my approach to counseling is direct, real, and supportive. On a personal note, I am a small town, southern Minnesota grown, farm girl which explains my love for being outdoors, especially in the fall. While not working my interests include reading, talking, movies, music, coffee, animals, and traveling.

Patrick Carroll, LP

I am primarily involved in administering and interpreting psychological evaluations for patients who need personality, cognitive, adaptive or ADHD testing to help with treatment planning or to augment the counseling and therapy that they are receiving from other Crossroad’s providers. I have been a clinical psychologist for the state of Minnesota for 30 years and have maintained a private practice in psychology since 1980.

If you are looking for a counselor with many years of experience and learning, that would be me!  I am a passionate, caring woman of faith who loves meeting people of all ages, beliefs, and circumstances.  I believe that we all do the best we can, given our unique characteristics and life experiences.  Yet, we are responsible for our own actions.  I believe in a God who crafts masterpieces out of messes.  Through many ups and down, I have been married for 33 years and a parent for 25 years.  My focus is on accepting individuals where they are a, focusing on strengths, and helping them find more joy, balance, and the calling in their own lives. I am in Benson, MN office Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and in Willmar office, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, working with clients facing a broad spectrum of concerns. I have a passion for children and keep a variety of toys available for use in play therapy. I also work with adolescents and adults facing an array of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, family struggles and adjustment to life changes. Prior to coming to Crossroads, I spent time working in adoption and continue to have a heart for families formed through adoption. It is my desire to see individuals and families find hope, peace and healing in Jesus Christ.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working here at Crossroads. I am striving to provide individuals and couples with a chance at personal and spiritual growth. I believe in an integrated approach with faith and therapy.  My experience has been with family crisis intervention, teenagers, anxiety, marriage, depression, self-esteem issues, and addiction counseling (focusing on sexual addiction and alcohol abuse). My passion is helping couples discover what a Godly marriage is all about, and bringing restoration and healing in that area. I strive to balance my approach to counseling, being direct and honest while maintaining a good sense of caring support. I grew up in the Willmar area and on my time off you can find me enjoying God’s creation in the outdoors, spending time with my family, or enjoying a good sporting event.

I am currently serving a wonderful variety of people here at Crossroads.  Personally, I believe that spirituality and family are as important to the counseling process as the individualMuch of my experience has been working with children and adolescents, addiction counseling (mainly adolescents), family crisis intervention, depression and anxiety, adjustment issues, and self-esteem issues.  My passion is helping those struggling with body image issues to find their true beauty in Christ Jesus.  I was born and raised in the Willmar area and currently enjoy spending any spare time with my family.
